Kione is a young African girl who wishes to pursue her dreams on becoming an actress but that seemed impossible from the community that she is coming from and find her self stuck to early and forced married with 4 (four) Kids and go through different forms of gender based violence including sexual violence. This is a story that shows the struggle of a women on pursuing her dreams regardless the society that does not give a woman opportunity to participate and took her as an instrument that is to conquer Men’s desires as a house wife.

Kione is a film that aims to bring woman’s mind liberation/Redemption, help them to discover their inner power to parsue their dreams and achieve equity. Gender based violence is more practiced in African countries (Tanzania), a lot of women are victims of early and forced marriage to which leads to different forms of gender based violence including sexual violence.
